James Lileks and his past joys of the past

Lileks.com is the brilliant site of Minneapolis Star-Tribune political humor columnist James Lileks. Be certain to visit his Institute of Official Cheer and compu-promo, which almost could be called compu-porno with its beautiful women and powerful systems. Interior Desecrations, the beginning of the end of middle-class taste and a good reminder for those redecorating right now how NOT to do it.

Lets drawn out the noise

Slate has a very good article on why Michael Mukasey should not become the next attorney general, well worth a bit of your time.

He's an Op-Ed Columnist (And So Can You!)

Stephen Colbert takes on the "linkie winkies" of New York Times:
I Am an Op-Ed Columnist (And So Can You!)
Don't forget that the NYT has opened most of its current news site to all readers, and will also make available its archives from 1987 to the present without charge, as well as those from 1851 to 1922, which are in the public domain. There will be charges for some material from the period 1923 to 1986, and some will be free.
Read all about it for free! (Yes, you have to register.)
